Children of Alcohol - National Film Board of Canada.
This short documentary focuses on the children of alcoholics.
In the relaxed environment of a mountain campsite, a group of young people discuss their anger and frustration, and talk about their struggle to cope with the problems created by their parents' drinking.
By sharing their experiences, they open a door for others like them.
Aimed primarily at an audience of elementary school children and older, this film provides an excellent vehicle for generating discussion about alcohol abuse and the family

Know Thyself - Do You know that Loneliness is Lethal
Know those around you intimately
Then get busy and serve them
God is always with you if you Seek Him
My First Son ~ I don't know if he is still alive! |
Preface - I like to review a few of the pictures I have hanging around me: and some of the music I play as my moods come into change me.
The more I do, the more I know where I am, in the search for myself. Maybe what I share here will help you along your way to know thyself.
I'm approaching 83 and work at doing my best every day; I don't feel best, if I didn't write a new blog page or two. I go to bed; but have to get up again to write something that pops-into my mind; So be mindful of what is going on around and let the people [anyone] Know! The Internet was not available 70 years ago, so I slayed alone: Loneliness is Lethal.
I hope this pleases you; until soon, Don.

Preface ~ I have come to understand that much of my fear and anxiety was my constant worry that I would loose Denise, my sweetheart, by some kind of medical disease or death, She had an enormous need to be perfect in every way of life - obsessively, Our son, Steven John Wesley, was seen as being "obsessive compulsive" when he was in high school. He is now a practicing psychiatrist, in Burlington, Ontario.
I love both of them and miss them ~ Don Wesley
It takes a long time "To Know Oneself"
I also asked for the best they could do.
