The Zon Lab Overview

blood stem cells, with the ultimate goal of developing treatments for
diseases such as melanoma, leukemia, and lymphoma. Zebrafish -
vertebrates like us - are particularly useful because their gene
functions are remarkably similar to our own. To see how stem cells behave
in a living animal, the lab has developed a transparent zebrafish called
Casper. The Zon Lab is part of the Stem Cell Program at Children's
Hospital Boston.
