On Feb. 24, 2014, the Aspen Institute held an event at the Washington National Cathedral commemorating 50 years of featuring Martin Luther King Jr.'s "Letter from Birmingham Jail" in the Aspen Seminar.
With a discussion led by Aspen Institute President and CEO Walter Isaacson, the talk featured some of the country's greatest thinkers: civil rights leader Julian Bond, US Poet Laureate Natasha Tretheway, Dean of the Washington National Cathedral Rev. Gary Hall, and Yale Law professor Stephen L. Carter.
