The monks of Saint Meinrad were invited here from Switzerland in 1854 by Father Joseph Kundek, then parochial vicar of the Diocese of Vincennes, to establish the monastic life in southern Indiana, to provide ministry to the local Church, and to educate native vocations for priesthood. This video demonstrates how still today, the monks of Saint Meinrad are fulfilling Fr. Kundek's vision, and how single Roman Catholic man, age 20-40, can become apart of the calling to seek God and serve the Church.
